庞中华先生是当代中国最杰出的书法艺术家和教育家。自1980年以来，庞中华大胆使用美国人沃特曼发明的钢笔和美国、日本、德国等生产的新式书写工具，创作出大量美仑美奂的“硬笔书法”作品，唤起亿万中国人学习硬笔书法的热潮，并传播海内外。使硬笔书法成为一门独特的艺术。

30余年来，庞中华先生出版的字帖、教材，以及他的书法理论集、诗集、散文集、作品集、电视讲座等达四百多种，总印数突破一亿五千万册，成为青少年的习字课本、中国人的家庭藏书，影响了几代中国人的习字热情。他创办的“庞中华硬笔书法培训中心”培养学生180余万，被国内外誉为“中国硬笔书法第一人”。

庞中华是一位极富创新精神的教育家。他独创的“快乐立体教学法”令听众在欢乐中学会书写。他在中国、日本、韩国、港台、欧洲、东南亚演讲达千余场，所到之处，受到的欢迎不亚于当今影视歌星，而给人艺术、文化、精神的教益则更胜一筹。

庞中华先生首次赴美，首场讲演在哥伦比亚大学。他认为哥伦比亚大学是诺贝尔奖的摇蓝，这里尊重创造精神。他勇于创新的精神和艺术才华在这里会获得理解引起共鸣，并激发年轻人的创造激情。2011年11月18日下午2点半在哥伦比亚大学，欢迎大家一睹庞中华先生的精彩演讲。
 
 
 
Infinite Variety Under the Stroke (笔尖下的万种创造)
  
Widely recognized as a pioneer of hard-nib calligraphy in China, Mr. Pang Zhonghua acquired his celebrity status in the 1980s, creating a great number of works with the fountain pen and kindling a fad for his unique calligraphic art. Over the past three decades, over 400 volumes of Mr. Pang’s calligraphy model, textbooks, and collections of his calligraphic theories, poems, proses have been formally published, with a total print run of well over 150 million. Undoubtedly, his contribution to hard-nib calligraphy is profound.
 
Mr. Pang is also a highly innovative educator. He has developed his own pedagogy of calligraphy, likening the strokes, lines and pauses of a whole piece of calligraphy to the tone, pitch, and melody of a symphonic piece.  His lectures are well received by international audiences, presenting cultural and spiritual lessons.
